what seems to be the best powder for loading 60 grain bullets in an ar?

I'v been messing with Varget and Benchmark, but haven't settled on either as of yet. Both meter nicely and produce more than acceptable groups(minute of flesh eating zombie anyway. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />) in my BM shorty.

i've played w/ varget in the 223 before and am just not a fan of varget in that application.

never tried benchmark, so do appreciate that input.

btw- the application is in a 16" h-bar. looking for prairie dog accuracy to 500 yards (i'm not a big believer in all the zombie stuff, though it do make interesting conversation).

so far have tried h-322 and 2230. h-322 has been good to me,but, i'm thinking there might be something better out. 2230 has produced accuracy and reliability but it seems to be a very picky powder, and i'd rather not use it.

You might PM LeosRedFox if he doesn't chime in. He's got a Bushie Varminter and was doing a lot of experimenting with powders and bullets for long range 'yote shooting. And getting some "eye boggling" groups!

Reloader 15 gets the nod for me with all bullets from 52gr up to and including 80 grainers.

Best so far for me has been Ramshot TAC. Max charges under 55gn V-max. Meters excellent, and is squeaky clean. Just bought some X-Taeminator. This has gotten good reviews, but I haven't had time to load any yet.
