I've always wanted to hunt warthog and hope to in the near future. any of you done just warthog hunts? I don't really want to hunt any other animal at this point. how many sub-varieties are there? Are there any other species of hog or pig type animals to hunt in Africa? any outfitters offer a BBQ/ Brie for the warthog, because I really want to eat it to.
thanks! advntrjnky

Phacochres (Phacochoerus africanus), potamochres (Potamochoerus porcus), hylochres (Hylochoerus meinertzhageni ) which are by far the biggest ...
In some countries you can combine those games with small games / bird hunting

Brie is cheese, braai is b-b-q a la California. Some Boers won't eat warthog/vlagtvarkies, and give it to their hands. Our sampling was good!

I have a 20 animal package right now for 10 warthog and 10 impala culls for 9 days 4500 bucks all inclusive but airfare. It has to be this fall. Get 6 guys together and I'll book you all for 24,000 saving the group 3000 bucks. Or take it for yourself and sell the hunts at 4500 each then yours is only 1500.00
You can also shoot any other animals you see for the price of the trophy fee only. I need to take out 800 animals this year. We will shoot them ourselves for the meat value, but I would offer this if anyone is interested.

I reckon Cameroon is a good place for pig hunters because you can take a good variety of unusual pigs such as red river, giant forest hogs etc....... I've never been there but understand it can be a tough hunt though. I've never met the guy and have no business connection with him at all but I'm told that Cam Grieg is the man to go to: cam.greig yahoo.com.
Have you swept the visioned valley with the green stream streaking though it? Searched the vastness for a something you have lost? Have you strung your soul to silence? Then for God's sake go and do it Hear the challenge, learn the lesson, pay the cost
