Getting my girl Tara ready for her NAVHDA UT test working on her long blinds. (start with "marks" to get them to hold a line out, buckets are marks, 1st bucket is a distraction with second being where I am sending her) This is much longer than she needs to go for the test, I am just getting her to realize "Back" means go until you find what I sent you for!! an 80 yd cast to a blind will be nothing for her now.

Next we will work on her duck search some more, she has that down pretty good though.

Thank you. She's been a wonderful little girl, always gives me 110% of anything I ask of her.

Very impressive especially seeing a GSP make such a retrieve. How old is she?

Thank you
cthemfly25, she is 5 yrs old. Great little grouse dog and just as nice for ducks and geese. She is a show champion, FT pointed, has her Senior Hunter (with Master Hunter legs) and her Retrieving dog Excellent. My breedings are geared towards natural retrieve & versatility, as a GSP was originally meant to be a versatile & not a specialist bird dog. I have yet to FF any of mine.(she is actually a nice rabbit dog too!)

This is her son Nitro at 8 mnths doing drills, he also does multiple marks well:

2 of her pups will be running for their Retrievng dog titles this summer once FT season is over.

I've hunted over a couple of gps and just haven't seen good retrieves. My hunting buddy has one and she won't retrieve a lick. Yet I've noticed one constant about gps--wonderful temperament. I hunt an ecs---wonderful fun dog, and Boykin which has presented some challenges. Again, I'm so very impressed with your dogs. Best of luck with them.

ECS are very nice little dogs, my buddy has several he uses with his falcons. I have hunted over several nice ones as well. Never hunted over Boykins, but have seen many, cute gregarious dogs with sweet dispositions.

Thank you again for the kind words!!

Great looking dogs you have there. For some reason, I always thought your dogs were Roan, not White/Liver. What kind of bloodlines do they have??

I only have one L/W, the rest are roan.
They are 3rd generation my breeding which goes back to Rugerheim/Palmglades, Nitro is Rugerheim/Hustler/Odyssey.
I may be breeding Tara to DC Palmglades Sweet Sage next year:
http://www.palmglades.net/sage.htm
It will be a line-breeding as Sage is her grandfather. He is the grandsire of NFC FC AFC Plamglades Shameless Sally also. She has produced some WONDERFUL pups so far and has 2 that should complete their FC's this year with one hopefully becoming a dual champion.

If you would, shoot me a PM with your phone number. I'm going to breed my bitch next May and would like to get your input on possible options for a sire......thanks!
