I was at WALMART looking for a .22 rifle for my son and I came accross the Savage semi auto for under $99. Its blued with a synthetic stock. The tag said its a lubless action. Any way are these pretty reliable feeding. Accurate?
<br>I used to have a Savage 22LR bot action and that's a real accurate rifle so I wanted to know how the Semi compared?

My cousin has one of those Savege autos. He says its real accurate and I've never heard him complain of jamming. I'm sure they use the same barrel as they do on their bolt actions, so it should be accurate. The price is certainly good.

I think that's a Lakefield # 64,if it is,it's the Cooey,they are reliable and accurate,but need more cleaning than a 10/22. Very common in Canada.

It is strange the savage semi-auto is usally the secound 22 people get after they scrap "The Thing" model 60. it does seem to outpreform the thing.
