I just finished a deal, I will be getting a Marlin AS 30-30 with a Marlin 4x32 scope. Not the 35Rem I was looking for but the deal works out in my favor (for a change).
Should be here on Monday.

A good solid rifle. May it bring you many fond memories, and a full freezer.

I just picked one up this week. Wow, no gold trigger! Definately not afraid to take it out in the brush. Hope you're as satisfied as I am with mine.

I bought a 30AS 14 years ago... used for 110.00 at a gun shop. The wood banged, someone had taken off the bluing on the barrel and cartridge tube. The inside of the barrel was bright and shinney - no pitting. I cold blued it. The thing shoots good.

I saw a Glenfield 30 in 30-30 today at a gunshop, price was 299, gun was in very good condition. At first I thought it was a 336SC.
