My friend Bud has a Ruger International UL in '06, which I bedded and had Mag-Na-Ported for him, about 15 years ago. It's MOA.

I'm in his will for his guns, they being childless. smile

And no, I have not considered killing him. Mostly.

That reminds me - I probably should let him know I moved 9 months ago.... smile

Here some pictures of some of the full stock rifles i own or owned.
First a Seven with custom stock, target was shoot at 100m with Federal 7-08. From the elbow, no rest.

Then a Merkel KR1 in 9,3x62 roe stalked in Thuringia, Germany shot at around 65 to 70m

The third is not mine but my daughter's (16): it's a Merkel K1 in 6,5x57R with 1,5-6x42 Swaro.

If the stock work is well made by a gunsmith who know it's job, full stocked rifle are as accurate as standard hunting rifles at normal hunting range most of us (american hunter included) hunt at.

This Ruger 77RSI Stainless 250 Savage was recently purchased from member "Freedumb1" on May 8th which was my Birthday Present to me. Just finished about 20 minutes ago mounting a Leupold Silver Vari-X 3-9 compact. This will be a companion to my 1971 Ruger 77RL (Ultralight)250 Savage. The 77RL wears a Gloss Leupold VX-III 2.5-8x36. I'm hoping that the 77RSI will shoot as good as the 77RL.

Some really nice looking rifles here. If a man shoots a Stutzen...does that make him a Stutzen Stud??? grin

gohip;
Our eldest daughter claimed a very much modified 1903 made '96 Swede in 6.5x55 that I'd cobbled together for my late father.

Before he passed on, he gave it back to me with the hopes that one of his many grand kids might make some use of it. As it turned out it was one of our girls that wanted it and she's made good use of it.

Here she is with it and her first whitetail, after trying for a couple seasons to get a BC whitetail buck.

This was last fall and her biggest mulie buck to date.

She likes the fact that it's over 100years old and because it's a full stocked rifle, isn't seen everyday and just like her is a bit unique.

As to the handling, if the rest of the stock and of course the barrel weight are taken into account, then they can handle just as well or better than a regular stocked rifle.

As Marseille, Mule Deer and others have noted, if the stock maker has done a good job on bedding, they will certainly shoot well enough for shots out to at least 300yds.

I'd suggest handling the rifle you hope to buy if possible and that test will allow you to know whether or not it will be a good fit for you or not.

Hopefully that was some use to you. Good luck on your search for a full stocked rifle.

Regards,
Dwayne

Anyone with a #1 RSI, see lots of M77s, but no #1 RSIs.

Here you go, Joe.....No. 1 RSI in 7X57! Haven't had a chance at a deer with it yet, but it has busted two bobcats.

I watched this cat nail the squirrel and then I nailed him. They busted out of a bramble patch about 50 yds from me. The squirrel hit a pine tree wide open and made the mistake of trying to keep the tree between him and the cat instead of cutting on the afterburners and going for altitude. The cat caught him about 6-7 feet up the tree and dropped to the ground behind a bush. He clamped down on the squirrel and in about 30 seconds the bushytail stopped squalling. Then he stood up and stepped from behind the bush.....bad mistake.
