1996 Browning Spectrum II. 54# @ 29" still shoots great. Got it in for a tune up right now as a matter of fact. I have not hunted it in all the years I have owned it but I have gone through a couple of targets with it!! Going to hunt PA with it this year though if I get a deer and it fires me up I will probably order a new long bow or recurve and get back in to that realm. I really like the simplicity and light weight.

2006 BowTech Tribute. It was a huge step up from my two previous bows, and does everything I need it to do.

I have and shoot and hunt with dozens of compounds, recurves, longbows, and flatbows, none newer than 10 years old and most older than 20. A couple by Indian Archery are probably about 70 years, and another by AMF/Wing probably around 50 YO. The new bows are fast and wonderful to shoot, but there's just no way I'm gonna spend $1400 on a friggin bow.

I run an old wing recurve (don't know the year) and a 96 Apline extreme. I've given away all my old compounds to friends and relatives. I used to get a new compound every few years. Obviously it's be a while. Funny I've looking on line at new bows but I'm not seeing anything that really turns my crank.

Thinking a nice long bow would be just the ticket for calling bulls?

Now that I've sold my '73 Bear Grizzly, I'm using an '86 Darton 30MX.

I actually called martin and talked to them about their new bows, compared to mine. The guy was honest and told me that performance wise, the new bows aren't better than the one I have. He said the new ones might be quieter and perhaps vibrate less, but that was about it. Not much of a sales pitch...

A 2011 Hickory long bow bought of Ebay for 50 bucks. It pulls a little over 60 pounds at 26 inches.

Bought an 07 Diamond Black Ice in 2008 saved a couple of hundred dollars on the older model, and it shoots 10 times better than my 2004 Bear TRX. Smooth, quiet, with no hand shock, and is very accurate...

Just bought a lefthanded Mathews Z9. My last Mathews was a Q2XL and it worked great on a number of hunts. Switching to lefthanded bowshooting should be fun after about 30 years of righty.

Heck I just bought a Hoyt SuperSlam off ebay for like 50 bucks shipped.

65 to 80 pounds will work till I can afford a newer Mathews. Maybe I will buy one for my birthday in Oct.

Was an 08' Bowtech Commander

The girlfriend got a new Coach purse last week so I said it was about time for a new one. She said feel free, so last Saturday a 2011 Hoyt Carbon Element followed me home. Not cheap but I am beyond impressed. Smoothest and quietest bow I have ever shot and simply no vibration. 31" draw at 70lbs spitting a 428gr arrow at 319 fps works for me.

Got to shoot my buddies newer Ross bow this past weekend. It definitely had less vibration than mine, but otherwise it felt about the same as my 2002 Martin.
