I've been sitting on this for 20 years, and I'm trying to decide what to do.

I've got a S&W Model 33-1, new in the box. Really new in the box. .38 S&W with the 4-inch barrel. It's in the blue box, with the $92.50 price tag, wrapped in the S&W paper, with the original instruction sheet, and the cleaning tools. It look like it was made around 71-72.

What's the best guess on what it's worth? I'm trying to decide whether to keep it as a collectable, sell it, or shoot it.

Flyfast:
That new in the box S&W Model 33-1, complete with all papers and tools, is probably worth more than any of us imagine, particularly to a S&W collector who lives in California. A S&W collector's web site, such smith-wessonforum dot com, is a good place to ask a probable value for an uncommon S&W in that condition. I believe that gun shops here in Missouri would ask at least $500 firm for it.

It's an interesting little revolver. I'm not really into selling my guns (I've only dumped one, a complete POS Auto-Ordinance 1911). Thanks for the insight.
