I have found for sale an 1895 manufactured in 1979 that is "proto-type number 2" of a 100 year anniversary commemorative that never went into production. I was told that there were 17 rifles made in addition to 4 prototypes.

I know nothing about these rifles. Can any of you Marlin guys shed any additional light on this?
