Went by the gunshop today and they had a Dakota Sharps in .32-20 with the most georgeous wood. Good thing it was $3000 or I would have been in deep doo-doo.

He said he had one in .38-55 and asked if I wanted to see it. I screamed NO as I was running out the door.

You are a wise man, sir. I doubt that I would have had the wisdom to take a similar course of action, or the will power to do so...

Of course, now you know that it is there...waiting...

I am hoping they send it to their Georgia store so I won't be tempted. They also just got in a Dakota shotgun that had even better wood (for $6000 it should too). They had a couple model 76 rifles also that would blow your mind. I did not see a model 10 anywhere and did not ask either

Does that mean you bought it and $3K isn't much to you? Want to adopt a 27 year old Mountie?

Not hardly. It means I can't afford it. I couldn't afford it at $1500 right now but I would have had to get it at that price and been in big trouble with the little lady.
