As I left the house the morning, my wife reported she was going after quail and mourning doves today. Here's the products. A pretty ratty looking bunch, but then again, I've not been dragging my butt through the weeds and grass all summer.

California quail:
Mom,


Dad,


The kid, Rufus I believe,

Obviously, there's something up there.

and a mourning dove

All about 40 ft from the back door.

These look real sharp and have good catch lights in the eyes. Kinda wish the legs were not cut off.

Good thought. I'll speak to her about that.

Rock quail are gorgeous birds. Those are great pics and that juvenile in the last pic is sure cute!!
