I picked up a nice 39A today at the gunshow. It has a Williams peep on it. It shoots great with Remington subsonics.

Very nice rifle. I've got a Marlin 39M in about the same condition and also with a Williams peep sight. I'm sure you are going to love that rifle.

Do I detect a Williams FoolProof (FP) rear sight? Yep! This rifle was made in 1974 the year I graduated from High School.

Very nice rifle. Several years ago I asked my father to bowroww his 39A..."I traded that gun off....
Oh man! It was the first rifle I ever shot!
I got thinking I needed one and over time picked up a rifle (almost as nice as yours) and a Mountie too.
They are terrific guns and accurate shooters....tree rats beware!
Congratulations....that's as nice a 39A as I have seen.

What does a 39 in that condition run in the shows now a days if you don't mind me asking? Picked up a 39M article II a few months ago for $550. But have not seen many clean older 39's like that avaiable. Most have considerable wear on them.

i had my 39A at camp last weekend first time i fired it in 25+ years.what a joy to shoot.used to lite barnburner, just took top off now getting older and eyes are not as good as years past....george
