Remington has stopped production of Marlin!
Over on Marlinowners there are a bunch of threads that say Remington has stopped production of Marlin rifles for the rest of the year. A lot of members over there think Marlin might be done for good. I sure hope not. I hope it's just so they can get a hand on quality. Anyone heard any thing more about this??

My recent experience with "Marlin" under Remington management I would just as soon they let the old company pass while we at least have some decent memories. Customer Service has been non-exhistant at best, negligent as the norm and rude on occassion.

I certainly hope they can get their QC on track and start putting out quality leverguns again. Maybe expand their lineup.  Ed

I hope they get things figured out and continue to make Marlins. I have my 336C 35 Rem. and just put a new Remington made 336Y 30-30 Win. on layaway for my son for Christmas. I'd like to get two 45-70 Gov. in the next few years. A 1895 and put a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm Scope on it and a 1895G (converted to pistol grip of course) and put XS Ghost Ring Sights and scout scope mount on it.
