Bangeye, Yes and it's one of my favorite. A 180 gr Barnes TSX at 2740 fps using Varget 49gr. Very pleasant to shoot and pretty good accuracy.

Yes, I like the 8x57...my best load so far: 180gr Nosler B-tip, pushed by 46gr of IMR 4350, that load put 5 shots into 1.5 inches at 100 yds. this was off sand bags ,,rifle is a Rem 700.

52 grains of R15 behind a Hornady 170 round nose from a 700 Classic is what works for me.
