Had buffler backstrap hot off the grill tonite! See how you are. You save the good stuff for yourself. Go on a camping trip and all you bring is ground up mystery meat. Lips, snouts, snips and trimmings. I swear I pulled a 4" piece of vein out of my burger. Wonder where that came from?

Nix the spam and bring a cold buffalo roast. You can slice it for sandwitches or make a great stew with it. Had the stew yeaterday made from last weekends pot roast! Now that the temeratures have dropped below 100 degrees, we will soon be thawing out a mess of meaty bison ribs for a cookout - sort of to kick off the hunting season, you know.
Dove season was a bust in this part of Texas, but there will be plenty of upland game shooting in October and then in November when the rattlers den up, it will be time to hunt whitetails!
Those big critters just keep on feeding the family.
