I sent my 4x12X50 in on Aug 28 as it was not holding zero and there was some minor damage to the elevation turret. Received it back today repaired. Looks like a new scope (but serial # is the same) No charge and they called me a few days before it was shipped.

Excellent service!

I was just out there: http://randywakeman.com/SwarovskiVisit.htm .

I don't think they get to do many repairs!

They had to fix mine.......and did a typically fantastic Swaro job.

Well the scope came back all nice and reapired as stated earlier and I was out shooting today on my home range. dialed it in for 500 and rang the gong three times. All good.

Looked down to crank it back to 200 and the entire inside of the turret is gone..nothing there but a PLASTIC gear thingy sticking up!!! Yikes!! Look around in the grass and find a small brass flat spring like disc and a small PLASTIC gear! Cannot find the turret with elevation markings. I mean come on this is not a $50.00 Simmons. 2 more days and this scope would have been at 11000' That great customer service and crystal clear optics wouldn't mean $chit up there.

Will either bring another rifle or scramble to get another scope on it this afternoon. Maybe a Simmons crazy

Will post a picture tonite.

On a BT Swaro turret, only way the plastic gear & color rings could come off would be improper install from the locking nob on top? I've owned a BT & cannot even fathom it coming off if screwed on correctly.

Maybe you forgot to screw it back on using a coin or supplied tool? Call MikeSwaro, betcha they next day air one out.

It was screwed on properly. Had ranged it back and forth from 100 to 500 yds. It appears there are two plastic "ears" inside that hold the turret in, both of these are broke with the loose pieces falling out in my hand when I turned the scope over. Plastic holding the turret in? Not a very rugged set up IMOP.

BTW I found the turret...all screwed together with the screw all the way through holding the disc together. It detached below the turret assembly. The plastic parts inside the scope failed. Will get it repaired (AGAIN) you can then buy it if you like.

Anyway replaced the scope with a 4.5X14 Leupie with turrets, and sighted in so I am good to go heading for the high country on Wed. Deal with the Swarovoski later.

Geez, that's not good news.
I know Swaro has a spotless reputation on their binos, and I always assumed their rifle scopes were the same way.
I guess the old saying,"Assumption is the mother of all f-ups" might just be true after all.

Moments like these are why I throw a back-up in the truck for long trips.

Plus one on Swaro's customer service. I have used them for both bino and scope service and were pleased on all transactions.
