Seafire: The newer "class of Model 70's have served many floks very well indeed - obviously including yourself. When my older VarmintBrother returned from his second tour in Viet Nam and decided to forego the next 14 years he needed to get a military retirement I decided to present him with a 1968 manufactured Winchester Model 70 in caliber 270 Winchester. He has used it on many occassions since then. Although he is now more of a dedicated Golfer than a Hunter. That Varminter with the Pac-Nor barrel and the Weaver V-16 and the handsome thumbhole stock sure looks (and I'll bet performs) great! Keep up the good work on the game and the Varmints with your Model 70's. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Hold this Model 70 Diamond Jubilee idea for a few months...might just be a reality, and a tribute the the guy who made it famous.

Southwind: Yes indeed.... something special.... how about this - harvesting a big ol Kansas Whitetail with it this fall! One that qualifies for the All Time Boone & Crocket Records Book! Yeah get after'em with that classy half century old Rifle this year. Good luck this season. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
