PRICE CHECK - Winchester Model 70 Classic Featherweight w/Boss in 90%+ condition, 30-06 sprg. Walnut / Blued (comes with standard Boss and CR-Boss)
What's this gun running on the common market?

I'd say $600 tops, no more. I personally wouldn't pay more than $525.00

The attached Boss is a serious detriment.
If it's a CRF M-70 with a boss I'd be surprised (in today's depressed market) if it'd bring $500

The BOSS was a good idea badly marketed.
They should not have had the muzzle break standard. And it should have been sold as Marksman's tool

I had a Classic Boss '06 back in the 90's and the Boss worked sweet but was really fk'n loud. I would have a hard time passing on a FWT Boss 243/708/308 and would swap the Boss for the Boss CR.

it was caused by Browning/Winchester making two bad choices about marketing it

Sorry to say, but in my mind, a Classic with BOSS is strictly a donor action, but a very good one at that. It should be worth at least as much as the FN SPR actions that have been on the market fairly recently.
Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.

+1
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I think that Dusk2Dawn has a lot to say about that...

If anyone was dying to have it for $650 I'd let it ride home with them! ;-)
