My hunting and fishing club made its 6th Annual Eastern Sierra trip up to Bishop this past weekend. The wind was really blowing, and made things difficult. My 7-year old had to show how it done, though, with a 2 lb 5 oz rainbow out of North Lake. Later we mover to Intake 2 and caught a couple of small stockers.

That's a treat!

When I was a kidling the family went up to Leavitt Lake, somewhere high in the Sierras. My line kept snarling and I kept crying. The folks gave up on me and told me to quit. I was a stubborn little cuss so I stopped wailing and did what I could. In the tiniest ditch (I suppose it was as subsidiary creek into the lake) I caught the biggest trout of us all!

Makes for a good story but I'm unable to top it off with something like, "...and I've been a dedicated fisherman ever since". But maybe your pup will be.
