Mark Bansner always comes to the Dallas Safari Club Convention each January. I noticed on the exhibator list that he and Tom Webb, his right hand man, will be there again in January 2012. Why not come and talk to him in person. McWhorter is good, but Mark is just an all around nice guy.

I've looked At mcwhorters but spending 4500 on a blueprinted Remington 700 seems a little stiff

I have a bansner ultimate one and a mcwhorter signature. I like both, but if choosing one it would be bansner. Mark is great to deal with and my rifle shoots .25 with factory ammo everyday and just has a better feel to me.

However, both rifles are safe queens thanks to Gene Simillion. You didn't ask but before I spent 4500 on either I would call Gene. His scope mounts alone are worth the price difference.
