Ruger No. 3 in 85%+ condition wearing a 3x9x59 Leopold Rifleman scope. Asking $700. I am not familiar with round or its availability. I deer hunt in woods and some right of ways with shots up to 250 yards max.

You probably meant $700 instead of 4700. The 4 in upper case is $.

That rifle & scope in listed condition $700 is way too much money, for $700 I'd pass in a heartbeat.
I have a Win. M94 "Big Bore" in 375 WCF and it is a fun rifle to hunt with; I've taken deer, pigs, black bear with it and the original owner took several Quebec moose with it.
In my book it's not a 250 yard cartridge even in a scoped Ruger # 3; so many better choices.
YMMV

Weakling cartridge. Cheap scope. Pass.

And no, it is NOT a 250 yard cartridge, not even close. Think of it as buying a spear and you will be closer to the reality of this set up.

Ouch, but it is the truth.
In my limited experience it has been a 80 yard or less "spear", the rifle is a joy to carry when walking a two track or slipping through a tamarac swamp.

Well, it is more than a spear, but you are probably on the wrong forum to get an idea of its worth. The Ruger No. 1 crowd -- over on the Single-Shot forum -- would be the people to ask. To many here it probably isn't a true big bore, just a top-heavy .30-30. I don't know what its worth in a #3 but if it were a Marlin lever-action you would be in the right ballpark at that price.

I would post your question on the Ruger Forum. There are experts there who can advise you on the value of specific #3 chamberings. I don't know much about Ruger #3s, but IIRC the 375 Win was not a common cartridge in the #3, if it was offered as a factory option.
