Allen, on the Wilderness home page it says "No kill no pay",

so for those that may be unsuccessful during their hunt does that statement apply.

No clue Denny. I don't plan on failure. grin

Don't hold me to this, but I believe if you don't kill[or wound], which is highly unlikely, you only pay for your food and lodging, which is covered by the deposit.

Gentlemen,

I will NOT be attending. I have a business commitment that was originally scheduled for the week after, but it has been moved up.

I was REALLY looking forward to this. frown

I guess I'll just have to quit working if I want to have a life. laugh As my best friend, Uncas, says "A good job will ruin a mans' life."

It's pretty likely that we will do it again in 2013, and about at the same time(2nd or 3rd week of March).

Hope you can make it then.

Thanks, Steve.

I will pencil it in. Yes, I'm filling my 2013 calendar already.

I will make it a priority as I have enjoyed a couple of Campfire gatherings so far and want to attend every one I can.

See page 21, 18th post, for additional info, including pricing of second hogs.

Next week I'll be sending out a PM to all the committeds and the probables giving them a table of contents of critical posts.

There are way too many pages and posts here for someone to wade through all of them.

Right now, the critical posts from me are on pages 1, 12, 21 and on page 25 from Pugs.

Hope this helps.

Steve

Thanks Steve

-A second hog that is either a Russian or weighs over 200 pounds will cost $475

-A second hog that is 200 pounds or less, and is not a Russian, will cost $250.

-Any hog that is within the holding area for Fallow deer will be $250. Apparently the hogs will eat the Fallow deer fawns.

-Meat held overnight can be frozen to ensure you get it home in good shape. But bring a cooler(s).

-Meat that is not wanted can be donated to families in need and to church groups. There is no formal program.

-The down payment, which is due the first week of January, should include that it is for the 24HCF along with your handle.
It's a little tough to keep track of names when everyone has two of them. Hell, I have trouble with names when there is just one of them.

-We'll have a hunters/guides meeting the morning of the first day to clarify the ground rules, and answer any questions( like, do we have to weigh the second hogs before we shoot them to make sure they are under 200 pounds and how can I tell a Russian hog?).

Good info!

My "secretary" (or wife, whatever) neglected to send the check in when requested. It's easier just to call it in and be done with it.
