Don,t think I would want the 40gr V-max in my rifle with these guys following me

Yeah I would want at least a 50gr for those little guys

manitou210, I agree with ya. I figured the 40 grainer was a little light for wolves. That's why I went to my "bigger" gun. It's a Kimber .223 loaded with 63 grain Sierras. The way the wolf huntin's goin' I'll be lucky to test 'em out.

Intertherm I hope your friend dont get caught shooting to many deer in KS. with a 224 caliber.

If you see a plastic tip on the bullet you know you're not looking at the best fur bullet out there. I use them because I can't use soft points in my AR (Wylde chamber doesn't like them), but they aren't the best. The 55 BT seems to do less damage than 50 and 55 gr. Vmax, but you will still ruin some of the runners. I've killed hundreds of coyotes with .223 and 22-250 - If you want to save hides, shoot a 55 gr. soft point and you'll never ruin one.
