Had the 1920 Savage at the range today, trying some handloads. It's hard to shoot well as the stock has too much drop for a scope, but at one point I managed 3 in 9/16" at 100 yards. Waited a bit, and decided to try shooting two more into the same group and promptly yanked them both 2" high crazy

It's also hard (at least for me) to switch back & forth between a 1920 Savage and an AR10 smile

It is official, I cannot get the time off this year. If the hunt is the same weekend next year I will book vacation so I can make it. That time needs to be booked before the end of Sept so I will be bugging the organizers early next year.

I will keep reading and enjoy the weekend in abcentia.

Thanks. It sounds like too good a time to pass up and my wife wants me to go so all hurdles should be cleared for next spring. I'll see if my daughters will join me.

Great rifle and cartridge. Easy to load, shoot, and kill stuff with.

I have a 338-06 that has the bolt on the correct side, the left.

Hope you bring yours to the Boar Hunt. You will never regret getting this rifle. I'm a big fan of Coopers.

Dang maybe I should dust off the .35 "shoots patterns" Whelan in the safe and see if I can get it shooting straight by March.

edit to add, did we find out if they have a range there? It might be a fun diversion checking zero on rifles.

I would like to be in on 2013, I am new here and no way I could get to go this year due to work scheduling. I have been to wilderness before and we had a blast.

Agree, I'd bring some extra ammo along for others to shoot the Montana. cool

On a related note, my 338-06 is quite pedestrian compared to that Cooper!
