I wish lived closer to where I hunt turkeys (and deer for that matter).You have to know where they are and at what point during the day.

<br>I pulled a tag to hunt up north to be with my buds. For that area we pretty much just go out, call and pray. Last year, they were gobbling everywhere, so definitely got the blood pressure up.

<br>On the other hand, got a farmer who will tell me where they are, times of the day and what they are up to. This gives an excellent opportunity to find and observe them. Problem is, I keep pulling the tag up north and haven't needed to go after them on the farm, where my chances might be better.

<br>BUT, I'll be on the farm this fall for sure. So, ROTR, I hope you are keeping your turkey journal so you can get up close and personal when you are armed and dangerous. :-)

That is a good idea! I usually try to keep up with deer and I will have to on the turkeys as well!

<br>I will be on the new private property Sat. Morning for the first time, maybe their is at least one DUMB gobbler up there who'll fall for my enticing calls He.he.....
