Fellow casters, I have a delimma. While loading for a sporterized and beloved 1934-1903, my linotyped Lyman 311284, 210 grain cast, sometimes as heavy as 220 grains is too big in the nose and jams the rifling. Since the boolit is so long, I'm very hestitate to send it deeper into the case body. The loads are in the 2000 fps range, of course in 30-06. I believe I am into a tight target chamber with a Douglas barrel. Thanks [color:"red"] [/color]

If you jam the rifling on a consistant basis. (ie alway seat bullet in case to same length) you will be able to develope a load for it.

Start low of course and work up.

I don't think the velocity your pushing the lead bullets too will cause you to have pressure problems by jamming bullet into the lands.

You will definitely aviod headspace problems! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Seating deeper into the case will not hurt anything either.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

blammer; Thanks for the quick reply and kind consideration! I'll keep it low and peaceful, watch the pees and quees. I tend to keep a low profile. Thank you, Sir!
