I had a couple loads I liked but i'm not sure I'd call them plinking loads.

My first SS .45 Blackhawk (4-5/8" barrel) lived on the 255 grain RCBS bullet sized .452 over 25 grains of Win 296 in WW cases w/ WLP primers. Bullets actually weighed about 270 grains cast of wheel weights. Accuracy ... good enough to head shoot ground squirrels to about 75 yards. Recoil was up there but manageable.

The last, one of the newest blued guns with the hammer lock, shot pretty good with about 18 grains of 2400 under a 250 grain JHP, either Speer or Hornady, and with the 240 grain "magnum" hornady XTP over 28 grains of Win 296. Recoil with this gun was downright VICIOUS. Accuracy was quite acceptable, but the front sight was way too short and I was unable to zero the gun. It shot near enough point of aim with cowboy loads (not what I bought it for) and it now belongs to someone else who was happy with those.

I use 12.9g of BlueDot in my Blackhawk.

It is very accurate but I have not Cronoed it

Not sure what you are looking for exactly, but a load that I have had a lot of success with is with an LBT 300 to 325 grain hard cast out of wheel weights and water quenched ahead of 22 to 25 grains of H-110/296. the charge weight depends on how hard you want to run them. I took a lot of game with this load when I lived in Alaska. I usually loaded 25 grain and shot them in a Ruger Bisley 5 1/2" barreled revolver and they chrono'ed from 1240 FPS to 1350 FPS depending on the individual gun

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first
