young teens are a huge economic demographic. They have a very high disposable income. Corporate America is goiing to continue to market any idea or product that they are attrcted to.
They have no such thing. It's given to them. Huge difference.
Hollywood has a bad habit cf changing good books into their own agenda.
What about internet hacks making a movie (they haven't seen) into their own agenda?
I have unsubscribed from Dave Workman's articles and the SAF that he supports. I have removed the original post. I am looking for the books at the library and if I can find them will read them. Other than falling on my sword in shame I am not sure what more I can do.
If I still offend you let me know and I give you my word the fire will not seem me again.

"At any rate, all commentary or review aside, what this REALLY about is money. ... So in the end, remember, it is not about what is right, wrong, or indifferent, it is all about what is GREEN."
You're 100% correct.

"Always go straight forward, and if you meet the devil, cut him in two and go between the pieces." (William Sturgis, clipper ship captain, 1830s.)
My 17 year old daughter was talking about the books, so I read all three last week. The plot revolves around an oppressive govt. and the main characters who are forced to fight each other for the capital's entertainment and to punish their oppressed homelands. 1st book was pretty good, 2nd was OK, 3rd sucked. Daughter saw movie last night at midnight and said it was long but pretty good. I will likely see it eventually.
Obviously one has not been on a week long bus trip with a busload of teenagers. The in crowd seems to be mostly a back stabbing and constantly plotting mess. Especially the young ladies. Those on the outside, not so much.
Skipped to the end after the first two pages (thread, not book) so I may have missed something. That being said, I have been reading the first book since fourth block today and have made a good dent. Even though I prefer mure refined literature, I enjoy this book quite a lot, sure blows Gary Paulson out of the water! After I'm done with it, i'll go back to The Grapes of Wrath, now there's a classic. Anyway, the only thing I don't get about it is that it doesn't say how powerful Central's army is. How did this one portion of the country defeat thirteen other sections, even with an enviromental advantage. Thjis almost reminds me of a movie I saw once called Equalibrium, where the government brainwashed the population with drugs and dictated them to the point that art and anything that might elict emotion was illegal. I reccomend this book to anyone on Obama's bad side if you want a look at our future if nothing is done... Just my two cents...
