Ken, this is a question that probably should be asked over on the brand X BCPR guys but I just don,t go there any longer.
I have a very nice Remington Rolling block in 12.7x44r this case utilizes a .502 diameter bullet the 50/70, a very similar round uses a .511-.513 bullet. the cases are otherwise very close.(Can't find my cartridges of the world book) I can get dies from CH4D and bullets are not a problem, same as my 50 cal muzzle loaders. Is it possible to size a case down from 50 Gov or other avalible case to this diameter. Bertram brass makes cases in 12,7x44R but they do not seem to be available, been on back order for over a year.
I have a Buffalo to kill this comming winter and would love to use this rifle to do the job. Rebarelling is another option but I hate to do that, you must see this 125 year old barrel to believe it, near mint condition.
Thanks
