Where do I begin... I have a Winchester 9422 that I bought a year or two ago. It's not in great cosmetic shape, but shoots and works good. I'm young and don't have a lot of money, nor am I really a collector. I like a good gun when I see one and have had a number come through my hands. I wish I could keep them all, but in order for me to get a new toy another has to go.

I recently put up my 9422 for sale locally asking what I thought was a little more than market ($450) as a starting point thinking if I sold it for that I could justify the sell. I've had someone offer $375 which may be closer, if not $25-50 higher, to what I could really get for it. I'm not desperate for money, although to get a new toy I've to to get it from somewhere. Question is, if I sell it am I going to be kicking myself for it down the road?

What are your thoughts?

Sell it. A Standard 9422 in fair condition is not going to appreciate much over time. Now if it were in the box and the rare case colored frame it would be a different story. Good luck!

I don't know about Utah, but I sold a 9422 in Yuma AZ last year at the Yuma gun show for $475 and it was in pretty rough condition. Most of the 9422's I see around here are marked $600 or more. Don't know if they are moving at that price, but....

I don't see them come up for sell very often around here and I don't know if they end up selling either. I know on gunbroker they seem to go for $600 or so, but pictures do show to be in better shape than mine.

I've had mine up for a little over a week and have had close to 1,000 views. Only two legitimate offers though, (one a trade and the other the cash)

I have both a New 9422 Rifle and also have the 16 inch Trapper and will never part with either. You should be able to get at least 400.00 for Winchester 94-22

Here are a few pics for reference concerning its cosmetic shape. There is blueing loss, scratches, etc. but no rust (possibly minor pitting just to be on the safe side)

I think $375.00 for the one you have pictured is a fair offer.

reminds of a trip to Europe in 2009. I stepped into a small gunshop in Lucerne Switzerland. There among the European bolt actions and drillings were two brand new, with the hang tags Winchester 9422's in 22 Magnum. These were from Winchester Repeating Arms before USRAC....had to be 70's rifles. brand new. Don't recall the price tag.
