I like the 2nd. Leaving the one color shows off the knife better from a distracting background..............dj

Nice composition; I like the central focus and shallow depth of field leaving the periphery slightly out of focus. I like #1, mainly because I'm not a fan of mixed color/gray scale pics.

I'm with Oregon. Never cared for the selective coloring either. I think it's way over (ab)used and gimicky. But if YOU do, that's really what matters.

Never cared for the selective coloring either. I think it's way over (ab)used and gimicky. Agreed, sort of, partially, on both points. I'd prefer the full color version, but without the distracting bright green on the right side.
