Know there's a for sale column, but don't know how many folks go there. I have a pre-64 Model 70 barrel, marked 30 Govt., and it appears to be brand new. Possibly a take off, but not fired. If anyone is trying to put a gun back to original, this might be a good deal. I would like to get $250.00 for it. I have pictures if anyone wants to see them. But need an e-mail address as don't know what I'm doing trying to post them here.

FYI there is a barrel just like yours on one of the auction sites, opening bid is $75.00 and there have been no takers.

i got 100 out of mine...30-06 barrels are pretty common. if it was say 257 ot 7x57 they are rare and valuable..

30-06 are very comon....I've seen them sell for $50.00-$75.00 too......My gunsmith friend has a chit load of them laying around...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
