tisha Campfire Greenhorn T Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 83	No! out here, if in the woods, which is most of the time when hunting, 50 yards a LONG way away.. have a friend though who does, and he said (he walks and stops, and walks and stops, and spots when stopped), he's seen a few deer near trees, etc he wouldn't have seen otherwise.

rj308 Campfire Regular R Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 1,738	Didn't use to. But now with older eyes, even when hunting close range, in bad light, those bino's can define the features of the animal better (if there's time for it) and help me decide if its a taker or not.

Your question is like asking, "Who here has never pointed their scoped rifle at something they don't intend to shoot?" The last time I realized I didn't have my binos with me I used the range finder as a mono. The 7X21 is way better than the unaided eye but not as good as 8X42 binos of good quality.
