This thread would probably be a lot shorter if you asked how many hunt without binocs.........

Never hit the shooting house or the woods without them. Oddly enough though, I'm the only person I know who does.

But am surprised that there are no no's. i run into folks all the time without them.

Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote.

No! out here, if in the woods, which is most of the time when hunting, 50 yards a LONG way away.. have a friend though who does, and he said (he walks and stops, and walks and stops, and spots when stopped), he's seen a few deer near trees, etc he wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Didn't use to. But now with older eyes, even when hunting close range, in bad light, those bino's can define the features of the animal better (if there's time for it) and help me decide if its a taker or not.

rifle,

You don't expect folks who post here to tell you the truth do you? Your question is like asking, "Who here has never pointed their scoped rifle at something they don't intend to shoot?"

The last time I realized I didn't have my binos with me I used the range finder as a mono. The 7X21 is way better than the unaided eye but not as good as 8X42 binos of good quality.

Yes I do...I think by nature of our sport, there is truth and always a helping hand at the 'Fire.
Now for fisherman,I have a little different outlook, they came up with that catch and release option....
