I can't remember what type of rope that I used for my 35 foot flag pole but it has lasted at least ten years. It's now showing some wear signs and I want to replace it. What type/brand of rope would you guys suggest. I fly a 4' x 6' American flag and a 3' x 5' Michigan flag underneath. Thanks for the suggestions.

full-braid nylon, same as used in the best dock lines will last the longest as far as UV and moisture resistance is concerned. Costs more for a reason.

Three strand nylon or double braided nylon...three strand is easier to splice (well at least it's a more traditonal splice).
