Hey guys, I have a Winchester Model 90 pump in 22lr I am thinking about selling to raise funds for a long range bolt rifle. I'm trying to figure out what it's value is and what would be a good price to ask. Any feedback would be appreciated.

In my unprofessional opinion, I would rate this rifle at 80%-85% condition.

If more pics are needed, let me know.

Thanks

The model 90 was made in .22 Short only, made in .22 Long only, .22 WRF only, and .22 Long Rifle. The Long rifle was made after the other 3 had already been in production for some time and is the least common found. The Long Rifle production should have a serial number over 600,000. It is difficult to assess overall condition from your pictures as well as verifiying matching serial numbers on receiver and lower tang. It appears both receiver and magazine tube may have turned plumb color, as is common with the older rifles. If all original and in .22 Long Rifle you have a model 90 that should be more desirable than the other calibers in same condition. I would check the gun auction sights for completed auctions and see if you can find any that have actually sold in similiar configuration and condition.

Yes, the 22 Long Rifle came along later, and are more desirable due to there being fewer of them made. I have seen some that were sent back to Winchester after the LR came out to be rebarreled to the LR chambering. The 600,000+ serial number range would indicate an original factory chambering. The serial number on the frame and tang should match as well.

80-85% seems a bit optimistic to me on condition of original finish. There is freckling on the barrel, wear marks, and the plum color is indicative that the original bluing is almost gone. An honest appraisal by a qualified expert is likely to rate it somewhat lower I'm afraid.

Your probably right Dawg. That's why I put my unprofessional opinion in there LOL Don't really want to part with it but I would like to get a 6mm long range "critter gitter" and don't really have any other alternatives other than selling some of my guns.

Thanks guys.
