up on the Campfire. The correct answer was to remove the catfood source to get rid of the skunks. It reminded me of when we left some garbage in the garage and I saw the neighbors dog in it. This is out in the country. The next morning I had a gray fox in a foothold trap 50-60 yds. out. The fox poop was obviously all dogfood. The neighbors were feeding the fox and the dog was out scrounging. You ever notice that?

With red fox where I live, they are more common right at the edges of town then they are outside of town several miles. They hang on the edge of town and we even have had a den in town. I'm sure they eat their share of food intended for cats and dogs. They likely also make a few meals out of domestic cats.

Every summer I get a couple calls about raccoons in corn patches. Had someone tell me they saw six come out a chimney in a house that needs torn down.
