I have a Warn 2500# on my ATV that's been flawless, though, I haven't used it much except for raising/lowering the snow blade. I guess I have gotten it wet quite a few times and very very cold without any issues. I had a Warn 8000# on an F-150 and the 2 times I needed to use it, again, it was flawless.

I have had a dozen warns in my life, never a single failure of any sort. I currently have one on the ATV, the diesel, and the land cruiser. All 3 are warns, the cruiser has an awesome Warn with the air compressor too. A brilliant design to have an air compressor and a winch in one unit.

I've had close to half a dozen Warns, one Tensen 2-speed and one Ramsey, dating back to the seventies.

I currently have a Warn on my ATV and one on my Tacoma. I'm always looking at winches, and all my "Saved Searches" eliminate all but Warns.

I only had one problem one time with a Warn and that was with a solenoid on a 12k around 15 years ago.

I've been going through a cable every two years on my 2,500# ATV winch and this year I went to synthetic rope. I think I'm going to like the rope. What's really nice is the wireless remote.

I wouldn't even consider owning another brand, and only look at them for comparison.

Craigslist is your friend for used Warns.

I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.
