Just bought a stevens 200 in 25/06..Bought the weaver #46 bases as called for and a leupold rifleman 4-12 scope. With the rings on the bases with the slot towards the action, front and rear the scope will not fit.the spacing is about 5.7 to the outside of the rings and the leupie has a max ring spacing of 5.6".There are #402 extension bases available, will they help with this????Looking forward to shooting it!!!Cheap little fun gun!

I mounted my Bushnell Elite last night on my Stevens with Weaver type one piece Base from Midway and Burris Rings with the inserts. For once I as able to mount the scope far enough back to suit me, but the front bell was close to the base when I got it where I wanted it.

I had the same problem. What I done was I bought the Millett extended rings that was of the weaver type and it all worked fine. I have had no troubles whatsoever from this set up and it has held zero with no hesitation whatsoever.

You may be amazed when you shoot it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
My 7mm08 shot the first loads into 0.369"(4 shot group)@ 100 yds!!! My buddy still can't get over it. I paid $269.00 for it tax incl...I did have a trigger spring job done to it.

Makes you wonder?

machinistbutler,
Is that blue loctite under the scope bases (in the pictures)? I have always put blue loctite on the base screws but wondered why the whole bottom of the base had it? Didn't know if this was to hold the base or prevent wicking of moisture b/t the receiver and the bases. Just curious...
