$1051 -

Looks like there were only two bids made.

I was expecting it to go for at least $2500.00.

I'm surprised you didn't go for it?

Ah, I suppose the seller was and SOB and wouldn't take an IOU?

For me, it just wasn't a clean enough collector item. I couldn't resolve the condition issues. I'm sure that's why the bidding didn't get as high as you speculated. As we know from the Savage site, "condition, condition, condition..."

I would have paid $1051.00 for a "shooter" in that caliber.

I likely would as well, if I was in need of another shooter. I've bought a lot of guns thinking, "that would be a nice shooter." Remember Jed's advice, "you only need one shooter" wink
It's a matter of individual preference. Some guys would rather have 25 guns than 5 nice collector pieces.

Jed has a ULA .308 that will make everything else feel too f'n dense.

Shooting irons keep improving in some senses,, I like my 77 rl over my 99S

For some of us, nostalgia is a more powerful force than practicality wink
