KevinT, Wouldn't want to be down in there when the water was at that high water mark on the canyon wall! Great pictures guys!

Me either, but we had a good forecast. The canyon was practically perfect. There was a spring coming out of the side about 100 yards away for fresh water, it was like putting your cup under a fountain.

Yellowstone Outfitters. It is their "Hawks Rest" camp.

I do some guiding for Two Ocean Pass. You likely rode by our camp on your way in. I've been to the hawks rest area many times but I've never been right to that camp. Lynn is a good guy.

I take it you know Keith Covington? He is a coworker of mine.
I did ride right past your camp.

I've been around cameras just enough to know that weren't no smartphone pic. It takes some good equipment and know-how to compose a moonlit mountain range, a mountain house meal, msr bottle, vitamin water bottle, tent, and stars all in one frame! Heck, I think I even see a cloud in there. Is there ever a time when you loath those 10 lbs, or is photography half the hunt for you?

Goin' to be awhile before smartphones can pack that size sensor and lens total track into 5mm. I think you about inventoried the whole kitchen there, could you tell it was a Hilleberg tent? I wasn't hunting, I was the historian on my buddy's hunt, so I count it as a "heavy" rifle equivalent. But to answer the question, yes I wish the load were lighter, I think it is time for a new pack!!
