After talking with with Lt. Powell, I got the 66" Whip Longbow, it's 52lbs @28" and it's on the way, Thanks for the link MCH, that Dan out at Montana Bows is a sharp cookie.  Gunner

How well do you like the Tred Barta's? Are the worth the money? I'm running some old carbons just because I can't waste good arrows but I plan on getting some more woodies soon.

I started of with the Samick Longbow because i wanted to make sure i would like hunting with the Longbow before i invest several hundred dollars in a custom or semi custom job. I believe i'm going to like bow hunting the old fashion way. I still have gotten a shot, had three does about 40 yards yesterday evening, but farther than I'm comfortable shooting at the moment with a stick bow.

Ya done good. I'd wager 99.9% of stickbows shooters couldn't make that shot on an animal as twitchy as a deer. My self imposed distance limit is 25. Great thread.

I've had 6 shots 3 low 2 high and 1 deer stopped and turned and right infront...I've put the longbow down and am hunting with my Mathews as the rut is about to break here...when I smack a good buck I'll gab the longbow again
