I am giving my son a rifle (Remington Model Seven .222) for his birthday. I want to include a nice soft case. I have always used Boyt and been pleased, however, I have learned that they are no longer made in USA. Do you know of any nice soft rifle cases made in USA? thanks

I don't know if the Saxet gun show makes it to your part of TX, but if it does you might check it out. There's a guy that has a regular table there (when the show comes down this way, at least) that makes nice soft cases.

Filson soft case are outstanding, I love mine. I am pretty sure they are made in the US and they stand behind their products. Not to mention it will last your son a life time.

I think these folks probably offer some that are as good as it gets:

I got one of the Flat Dog slips recently. (But note that model has no carrying handle or strap.)

Cabela's has some "Bob Allen" cases that are made in the U.S.

They also have some Remington branded cases that are made by the above. Made in the U.S as well.

Allen

Many of the "soft cases" are now better than the "hard cases" being made in China, they resemble thin flimsy Kleenex boxes...

I think the canvas cases have been covered. If you want a custom leather google Murray Custom Leather at Aledo, TX. Good stuff (and likely priced accordingly) made to order from your skins or his. jack

J.W. Hulme makes quality leather cases.

Duluth Pack makes some nice leather and leather/canvas.

I have both and like them a lot. They are well made and will last forever.

Not sure your budget but I love the Hunter, fleece lined case. VERY PLUSH. Don't ever leave his gun in the case when storing, put it in a "gun sock" for year round storage, no rust, no dust.

Those frost river, bufflo bill waxed bags look nice, expensive.
Think the postage on getting a couple sent down under would kill it though

As someone else stated, the last allen cases I purchased were still tagged "USA"

Something clever here.
