Fished 28 miles to the SW today and had 2 striped marlin and one small blue marlin about 350 lbs in the deep. On the way back in came across a 5 gallon bucket floating on the surface and put 6 25 lb Mahdi in the boat in one pass. More to come ,I'm here for the week so I'll post the reports daily. Glad I'm here and not home were gonna get socked Monday morning from Sandy.

Fished the sea of Cortez today up on Gordo bank . Had 7 yellowfin up 85 lbs and 4 mahi in the mid 20's. all fishing for these was on the drift pitching live sardines as freebies while baiting with same. Light tackle fishing on 20 lb gear. We caught a couple of Bonita as well and after tuna fishing . Bridal rigged them and sent one down deep on the down rigger . Trolled them for blue and black marlin in 1000 to 1500 feet . Water is super clean and clear water temp is between 81 and 84. Tomorrow's plan is to grab some more Bonita and run to a spot they call 1150 and the 95 spot ( old loran bottom numbers) to look for more blues and blacks. Striped marlin are here and taking trolled lures and pitched live baits may chase them at the tail end of the week on light tackle.
