Recently picked this up thinking I had the perfect home for it, but then realized I like the setup I had. I don't foresee having a home for this one in the near future so figured I'd see if someone else had a use for it here, before trying to sell it elsewhere. This is an early Japan marked NF Varminter 5.5-22x56 30mm scope with weaver style rings. It has an AO, and the reticle appears to be the NP1, (aka, hunter reticle). This is an illuminated reticle as well. Turrets are a target style, and adjustments are 1/8 of an inch. In the research I have done, it appears that the early NF scopes were manufactured in Japan, prior to operations opening in Idaho. From what I gather, components are still obtained from Japan, but assembled in Idaho, and the scopes are now marked made in the US. The optics on this scope are crystal clear, and the scope is built like a tank. Overall the finish is pretty good. A few scratches on the AO, but other than a very small amount of finish wear to some high spots, the rest of the scope is excellent. I don't know if there are any ring marks as I have not taken the rings off. I'm looking at 900 shipped, and I will entertain trades.
