Can anyone tell me what a 95 score is for a 1000 yard shoot?

Well,you could have 5 shots in the ten ring and 5 in the 9 ring.Or 9 in the 10 ring and one in the 5 ring.I've done that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />....Or any other combo that adds up to 95..

Thanks, BoydHeaton, for the info. Saturday I was at a friend's house and a fellow told us his daughter shot a 95 at 1000 yards with a .223 Savage. She was using 70 grain Bergers at 3025 feet per second. The powder was 2015. I didn't get the charge amount.

Same score in highpower vs benchrest but different target sizes also.

Regardless it was a good shoot or good conditions or both. That combo is not great at 1000

Most 1,000 yard competitions are 20 shots with a 200 total possible. I pulled what was then a record in about 1972 (memory is fuzzy) where a shooter went clean 32 times and dropped his 33rd shot. He ran out of his own ammunition after his 32nd shot and borrowed some from a friend. Same case, same bullet, same powder load, just a different primer.

I forgot to add though, that is pretty good shooting for a youngster shooting a 223 :-)
