It doesn't get much better.

Which model? CL, KX, ??

All of the Kahles scopes I have handled have been top notch. Conversely I found their roof prism binoculars to be very much lacking at their price point when they were still widely available at optics retailers.

The Kahles binoculars actually improved after they started having them made in Japan a few years ago, but they price-point still didn't quite compete.

Sold all my Kahles optics a few years ago and swore them off, seems a scope couldn't last more than a year on any of my rifles before the guts dropped out of them, after several trips back to the factory for repair and a few deer missed, I had enough.

I would never buy or recommend them to anyone, although I will admit that I have never ran across anyone else that had the same luck with them that I did.

Have a near 30 year old 8x56 Helia S that still pulls "WOW" comments at night, this scope has little blueing left, a dent in the objective bell and typical furry cross hair posts, but is a great scope, also have a Helia L 3-12x56 it's about 7 years old. These are mounted to a .17rem and .222rem so no issues with recoil but they are carried mainly on horseback and dirtbike.

I've used them for about 15 years and have no complaints. My first one I bought when I was 18 and it is still going strong. Only complaint on about that one is it shows a fair amount of parallax at 100yds and while the reticle is sharp the target is not but at 300yds everything looks great. There is not so much parallax that I can't overcome it with consistent position but it is noticable.

Have the 1" Helia CLs, 30 mm Helia Cs, Ls and CBs (sold the CBs) from Kahles. Love them! Had a pair of the binoculars that I sold/traded. They weren't up to the same quality as I felt their riflescopes are. Their MultiZero feature is also very good. They are as good as my Swarovski PH/Z6 and Zeiss Diavaris. I realize everyone has their own opinion, but I'd stack them together.

I actually really liked their binos. Debated on buying a pair a few years ago, but went Pentax because I got cheap.

I like their bino's, have a 10x42 and no complaints, it's not Leica but its not going to be at that cost. I have three of the 1" Helia-C scopes and they are very, very good. If there is anything, it is that they are heavy. A 3-9x42 on a light rifle and you will notice it.

I have 3 or 4 of the KX 3.5-10x50's with the tds reticle and a few of the 3-9's also. Can't tell them apart from my Swarovski AV's.

Great scopes and haven't had any issues with them.

I had one of those, complete with the fuzzy reticle. I sent it back on two occasions for cleaning. I'm not sure what was "growing" on that reticle... blush

Back in the day, several of us had that scope with QD rings to alternate with our 2-7 Leupolds. We'd hunt daytime with the Leupy and as light faded, switch to the 8x56. Worked pretty well, just had to keep up with two scopes.

I gave the set up with both scopes to a good friend.

Several years ago, I picked up an 8x42 on Ebay for around $300+ IIRC. Good binocs, especially for the price. They are a step behind my 7x50 Swaro and my 8x43 Zeiss Victory RF binocs, but lighter and handier than either of those.
