Ok,that waterbuck must have been in a big fight or was really old. Did you eat any of the waterbuck,I ask because of oil in/on the skin touches the meat making it inedible.

Anyway, yes, we did eat some waterbuck, off the dry one...made it into Waterbuck Cordon Bleu with a gal from the South African School of culinary arts.


It still tasted like a soaked urinal cake....

Aint nothin' like gemsbok in my book...

So then,they don't compare to Kudu,Impala or Eland on the scale of yummy-ness.

I feel like a kid on Christmas. I got the "new" barrel for my model 7 in the mail today. Going to call the gunsmith in the morning and see how much it will be to get them to swap the barrels and possibly ream it out to .243AI, hopefully it isn't going to be too much. Gotta figure out what to do with the finish on the barrel too, it's not like the finish on the shorter barrel.

Know the feeling...I just got a call from my smith, he screwed the .222 Bbl on to my "Old School" project, Ill screw it all together and shoot it in the next few days...

Ingwe this bull was shot at White Sands Small Missile Range and it was TOUGH,tasted great but TOUGH. Killed just after daylight and in the freezer that night,which with no "aging" made tough.
