Maybe if I follow through I pimp it instead of old school str8 restore...make it an FJ Woody?

Some type of wood veneer on a 360 all around!

FJ40?

That's the plan dude....you familiar?

I am, grew up with 40 series and used a couple for work vehicles...BJ40 and FJ45, and worked on HJ47, HJ45.

Have also owned and used 2x 75's and 2x 79's.

The new V8's leave a bit to be desired as a work vehicle, as an aside...the Local Toyota dealer brought his new dual cab V8 diesel cruiser around for me to have a look at.
It was interesting but I have better things to throw $600 a month at.

Post some pictures of the 40 please.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

For the last ten years of my work I used two 40X BR's, one in 6x47 and one in 6mmBR..... not an ounce of trouble from either.

my mates that are still shooting roo's absolutely detest the new Remingtons they have purchased in the last couple of years....and having seen them I have to agree.
They have all galled and chewed through the cam surface on the back of the bolt and have problems with bolt bind.

Buy an older one.
