[i] NOSLER INTRODUCES BONDED PERFORMANCE BULLET LINE Bend, Ore. November 21, 2012 Nosler, Inc. the worlds foremost bonded bullet manufacturer is announcing their new Bonded PERFORMANCE .224 caliber, 64 grain Bonded Solid Base bullet. The 64gr Bonded PERFORMANCE bullet is designed to maximize the terminal performance of .22 caliber rifle cartridges. While most .22 caliber bullets are designed to be highly frangible, the Bonded Solid Base is designed for controlled expansion, high weight retention, and deep penetration. The Bonded Solid Base makes an excellent medium game hunting bullet for states where .22 caliber rifles are legal for hunting as well as personal defense. The Bonded Solid Base bullet features a Protected Point design for reliable feeding in both bolt action and semi-automatic rifles. The tapered jacket ensures controlled expansion while the proprietary bonding process prevents fragmentation and guarantees high weight retention. The AccuBond bonding process welds the copper jacket to the lead core to virtually eliminate the possibility of core-jacket separation. Solid Base construction supports the mushroom for wide wound channels and deep, straight-line penetration. The .224, 64gr. Bonded Solid Base bullet will be available in component form in 100 count packaging, as well as loaded in Noslers own Nosler DEFENSE 223 Remington ammunition. For a 2013 Nosler and NoslerCustom catalog featuring the entire line of AccuBond, AccuBond-LR, Ballistic Tip, Ballistic Tip Lead-Free, Ballistic Tip MZ, Bonded Performance, CT Ballistic Silvertip, Custom Competition, E-Tip, Partition, Solids, Sporting Handgun, Varmageddon, Nosler DEFENSE Ammunition, Match Grade Ammunition, Trophy Grade Ammunition, NoslerCustom Ammunition, Cartridge Brass and NoslerCustom Rifles contact: Nosler, Inc., P.O. Box 671, Bend, Oregon 97709, 1-800-285-3701, http://www.nosler.com.

Should work well in standard twist .22's but it is going to be tough to beat the TSX when it comes to making the pea-shooters into game rifles. Still, more options is better than less.....
Now with even more aplomb

Bullet LINE....
What other bullets are coming in the line? A 80gr 6mm would be nice for my 6x45.
Are these 64's similar the BSB that Shooters Pro Shop has from time to time?
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

I could be very interested in these if they were available in other diameters

Is that billet intended for use in a tubular magazine? If not, why would you cripple a bullet like that?

why would you cripple a bullet like that? I have a feeling that this bullet was originally designed for tactical applications rather than hunting, and the intent was for it to have good "barrier blind" performance.
Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.

Is that billet intended for use in a tubular magazine? If not, why would you cripple a bullet like that? I imagine that bullet is designed like that expressly so that it shoots in standard twist barrels - and I imagine it probably does that pretty well. Furthermore, I think a big game 22 CF bullet is not one whose maker intends for it to be used at distances beyond 300 yards, perhaps quite a bit less. I expect the reports we'll hear regarding this bullet will be excellent for the most part.

Only diff is that these open to a huge diameter. From JD's 22-250 .224 cal 64 gr Bonded Solid Base MV 3372 fps shot into water jugs at 30 yds, recovered in the 5th jug. The recovered weight was 50.2 grs (72%) and expanded to .481". JD338

It will be interesting to see if they really sell. I just cannot see the purpose given the performance of the 60 gr Partition and the previously noted TSX.
Conduct is the best proof of character.
