You don't see one of these for sale every day. Serial numbers 1-17,000 were produced from 1931 through 1939.
Mine is 10,xxx serial number Matte Rib 12 ga Superposed. Modified over Improved, single selective trigger, ejectors. Blueing on the barrel is excellent, showing some wear on handling areas of the gun. All screws in good shape, locks up tight, functions 100% perfectly. I've hunted with it the last two years. Frankly, I just don't shoot it worth a crap, and I'm not into collectibles.
Recoil pad added at some point, and it has a crack in the forearm. I have never been able to remove the forearm from the gun. I don't know if I don't know how, or if it's stuck. I'm not prepared to try and force it.
I figure it would be worth $2500 - $3000 without the crack and the added recoil pad, and we'll assume a stuck forearm.
I'll take $2250 shipped.
I would ideally like to take a 20 or 16ga Browning A5 + cash. I will also entertain trades for Zeiss or Swaro RF's, Rem 700 SS short actions, LA McMillan hunting stock. 1.5-5 or 2.5-8 Leupold/Zeiss scopes.
I'll give this a day or two here before posting on Shotgunworld.com. High-res pics available to serious buyers.
